Choreographer
Nathaniel G. Saavedra is a dance artist, educator, and cultural advocate. As Artistic Director of WMSU Jambangan Dance Troupe and Assistant Professor, he mentors youth and promotes Philippine folk dance through performance and leadership.
Choreographer
Jay Rick Tality Cayapas, a Licensed Professional Teacher, advocates dance, fitness, and heritage. A WMSU graduate and former troupe VP, he has competed nationally, choreographs, coaches, and promotes Philippine arts and culture.
Choreographer
Terence Vanze Timbang, a licensed teacher with a Master’s in PE, is a dance educator, performer, and cultural advocate at WMSU. He leads PFDS–Region IX, performs with Jambangan Cultural Dance Company, and is a multi-awarded dance competitor.
Artistic Director
Dr. Ma. Blancaflor R. Jimeno, Dean of WMSU’s College of Sports Science and PE, is a Professor VI, cultural advocate, and award-winning choreographer. With 20+ years in academia, she serves on the NCCA Dance Committee and leads PFDS in Zamboanga.

The Jambangan Cultural Dance Company, Inc. joined the 2021 National Folk Dance Workshop–Indak Pilipinas, presenting “Gandingan.” Guided by Dr. Jimeno’s research and choreographed by Mr. Pasilan, the troupe showcased authentic Philippine folk culture.
