Valse Zamboangueña | Western Mindanao State University

This 10-minute artistic presentation reimagines the classic Valse Zamboangueña, capturing the elegance, history, and romanticism of Zamboanga’s cultural heritage. Performed and filmed by the Western Mindanao State University Jambangan Dance Troupe, the piece blends traditional movement with cinematic storytelling to honor the dance’s legacy as a symbol of courtship, grace, and Chavacano identity.

Bai La Paz Outreach Activity

In July 2022, the Jambangan Cultural Dance Company and WMSU’s College of Sports Science and Physical Education held the Bai La Paz Outreach Activity in Zamboanga City. Led by Mr. Navarro and Ms. Sanson, the event included a Hip-Hop Dance Competition for a Cause, raising funds for local schoolchildren. With WMSU and community support, they distributed school supplies, food packs, and a power generator, showing how cultural unity can spark meaningful impact.
